Services We Offer
Travel Vaccinations & Advice
Our Practice Nurse offers a travel vaccination and advice service from the Practice. Before you come to see the nurse, you will need to download our Travel Vaccination Information & Pre-Appointment Questionnaire, fill it in and bring it to the Surgery. Our Practice Nurse will then contact you about your appointment.
Health Promotion
We are actively engaged in health education and disease prevention and are always happy to discuss this with you. In particular, we can arrange Primary Prevention (advice on smoking, diet, exercise and immunisations) and Screening (blood pressure checks cholesterol estimations, cervical smears).
Contraception
We are able to advise and provide full contraceptive care including IUCDs (coils).
Maternity Services
We are able to provide full ante-natal and post-natal care.
Minor Surgery
Minor surgical procedures can be carried out under local anaesthetic in the surgery (by appointment only).
In-House Services
We have a dietician that runs clinics once a month. A Counselling Clinic is also held once a week at the surgery (by referral only).
Services Not Offered by the Practice
Aneurin Bevan Health Board will provide details on how to obtain any services not provided by the practice (telephone them on 01633 261430). We do not provide services for patients suffering from substance misuse.
Important Advice
If you are over 65 or if you suffer from a chronic condition such as:
- Coronary Heart Disease
- Respiratory Complaint including Asthma
- Diabetes
- Renal Failure
- Lowered Immunity due to disease or treatment such as steroid or cancer treatment
Your Doctor Strongly Advises you to have an annual flu jab.
