How to Book an Appointment
Appointments with the Nurse or the Doctor can now be booked two weeks in advance, or you can book to see a Doctor of your choice up to four weeks in advance. This gives you as a patient the advantage of being able to book when you know you will be available for non-urgent issues.
If your appointment is of a more urgent nature and you need to be seen on the day, there are two things you can do. Firstly, half of our appointments every day are kept for emergencies only. If you would like a booked emergency appointment you need to ring up on the day you need to be seen at 8.00am. Please be patient! We are trying our best to answer all calls but sometimes we can be extremely busy. We will answer your call as soon as possible.
The appointments in the morning are booked on a first come first serve basis. If you ring and are unable to get an appointment due to us being fully booked, we offer all patients a triage service.
The Triage Clinic is a clinic that our Doctors monitor themselves. Patients are advised to ring us after 1.30pm and to leave their details such as name, date of birth and brief details of the emergency with our receptionist. This is then entered onto the appointment system. The Doctor then looks at the details and calls the patient back. He will then discuss the problem with the patient, or the patient's representative, over the phone and if the patient or the Doctor feels that the patient needs to be seen they are given an appointment. We feel that this is an efficient way of making sure every patient has medical attention available to them when they need it.
